Personal Information Controller

The Naval Reserve Command (NRC), Armed Forces of the Philippines, is the Personal Information Controller (PIC) for the data you are about to submit. The NRC is responsible for ensuring your personal data is collected, processed, and stored in accordance with RA 10173 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

Data We Collect

The Reservist Information Data Sheet (RIDS) collects the following categories of personal data:

▸ Full name, rank, and AFPSN

▸ Date and place of birth

▸ Present and permanent address

▸ Contact numbers and email

▸ Physical characteristics (height, weight, build)

▸ Civil status and family information

▸ Educational attainment and eligibility

▸ Military service record

▸ Government IDs (SSS, TIN, GSIS, PhilHealth)

▸ 2×2 photograph and thumbmarks

Purpose & Legal Basis

Your data is collected for the following purposes:

1.Maintenance of official Naval Reserve personnel records
2.Administration of reserve mobilization, training, and deployment
3.Processing of benefits, promotions, and awards
4.Compliance with AFP reporting and auditing requirements

Legal Basis: Processing is authorized under RA 7077 (AFP Reservist Act), RA 10173 Section 12(e) (performance of functions of public authority), and relevant AFP regulations.

Data Sharing & Retention

Sharing: Your data may be shared with authorized AFP offices and units on a need-to-know basis. It will not be shared with third parties outside the AFP without your consent, except as required by law or lawful court order.

Retention: Records are retained in accordance with the AFP Records Retention and Disposition Schedule. Upon discharge or separation, records are archived as required by AFP regulations and RA 9470 (National Archives of the Philippines Act).
